In-Stream: How to create an In-Stream campaign
Video ads have become an important agent in bringing profitable traffic to our advertisers. If you are planning to start a campaign and you don't know what format to use, we strongly recommend you to give Video a try. We explain the many advantages of Video ads in our blog.
While there are different options for Video Ads, In-stream is the one most favoured by our publishers and the one which will give you access to the greatest inventory. In this tutorial, we will explain how to create an In-Stream campaign.
How to create an In-Stream campaign
In Step 1 of your campaign set up, select Video as your ad format. In-Stream is a Zone type, meaning that all Video campaigns will be targeting In-Stream by default.
If you want to target In-Stream exclusively, then you need to de-select the other push formats in the Zone type section:
We actually recommend you to try targeting In-Stream only. The main difference between In-Stream and the other video format is that it is served in the video player on the site (usually as Pre-Roll), so it has more playback capabilities. This allows you to serve high-quality video materials and experiment with different video lengths, call to actions, etc.
Then, in Step 2, create your variations. You can either upload the video material from your device or link to an external video:

If you want to use a VAST tag as variation, you will need to ask for permission to your account manager or to our Client Care team.
In-stream campaigns can run in CPC, CPM and CPV, which is a payment model exclusive to video formats. CPV stands for Cost per View, meaning that you will pay for each view the ad format generates (a view is generated after 10 seconds of video ad playback).
