The mobile full page interstitial is a postitial ad that appears between page loads on a website. Once triggered and shown to the user, the full screen displays the ad.
Interstitials are a popular ad choice because of their size which allows an advertiser to have a larger piece of real estate on a mobile device to promote their product or offer with compelling creatives. It has a high CTR and high viewability.
The interstitial is fully responsive and it is fully compliant with Google and The Better Ads Coalition, featuring a ‘Close Ad’ button in the top right hand corner of the ad format, allowing the user to close the interstitial and continue to view the websites content.
Creatives should be a 900x1600 banner on the vertical with a maximum size of 300KB with a link to a destination url. Redirections are not permissible and no misleading elements are allowed.
The new interstitial is available on the CPM and CPC payment models and includes frequency capping options.
In your admin panel click ‘Campaigns’ and the green ‘NEW CAMPAIGN’ button
Give a ‘Name’ to your campaign, select Mobile Fullpage Interstitial from the drop down ‘Ad Format’ menu. Then use the toggle buttons to select your ‘Categories.’
By switching to the next step “Ads”, you will see that you can add your variations. Click the blue ‘ADD VARIATIONS’ button. This will open a pop up window as seen below and add your ‘Landing Page URL’
Now you need to add your image which should be a 900x1600px in format JPEG, PNG or GIF. Click the green ‘SELECT FILES’ button which will open a new box ‘Select Ad Assets’ displaying your image creatives. You can use the filter options in the box to help you search for the image you want or upload a new image. Then click on the image you wish to use. Then click on the green ‘ADD 1 VARIATION’ button.
REMEMBER 300KB images will be allowed. We recommend the 1.5MB for video content. Check ADVERTISERS! EXOCLICK ALIGNS BANNER ADVERTISING SIZES WITH IAB STANDARDS
Now your variation it’s in the system:
Now go to ‘Pricing’ and select Smart CPM, CPM or CPC, and then select your Frequency Capping, minimum bid and your Max Daily Budget and Budget Delivery Mode. Additionally you can activate The Bidder for automatic optimisation.
Now move on to ‘Site & Zones’ to choose the subscribers sources you want to target, then click the green ‘CREATE’ button at the bottom right of the screen.
Note: For iFrame campaigns (access upon internal approval) advertiser should ensure any click by user on the Mobile Fullpage Interstitial URL ad should open in a new browser tab.
